Limpopo police have arrested a 25-year-old man in Polokwane who was allegedly found driving a stolen Chery Omoda valued at approximately R400,000 towards the Beitbridge border.
The vehicle was stopped on the N1 near Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday, 25 September, during an intelligence-led operation involving the South African Police Service (SAPS) and private security personnel.

According to police, the vehicle had allegedly been stolen in Sandton, Gauteng.
Authorities further allege that the suspect had previously been arrested in March after he was allegedly found driving a stolen Range Rover in the direction of Beitbridge. He was subsequently released on bail.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 28 September. He faces charges including possession of a suspected stolen vehicle, driving without a valid driver’s licence and fraud relating to allegedly falsified registration plates.
The allegations have not been tested in court, and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
